If you download the Amazon Drive apps for Windows and macOS, you can use Amazon Drive natively on your desktop. Not only are these apps useful for accessing your files quickly, they're actually necessary for large uploads of over 2GB. You can upload individual files, compressed archives, and entire folders directly from your hard drive. Once your files are in the cloud, you are able to organize them into folders so you can find things again.Sharing is a huge part of Amazon Drive. You can opt to share any file you've uploaded via a shareable link, email, or social media. Once you've shared an item, it will appear under Shared in the sidebar. Select the file again and click Stop Sharing to revoke permissions. You can also send files to Trash and quickly recall a list of Recent Files via the sidebar.You can access your files whenever you like, and there are no "retrieval fees" associated with the service. Plus, any Amazon Drive users who are also signed up for Amazon Prime can upload photos without affecting their storage limits. These photos are stored in their original quality with no additional compression applied.
