General
- Installation checked for squareness and levels ok?
- Motors and operation of each item of installed equipment tested. Any evident visible or audible contra-indications?
- Inspect and sweep out any debris from motor pits and rail gullies. Is there flooding or excessive build up of debris?

Safety Edges
- Visually inspect each component for splitting or puncturing of the rubber or degeneration of the supply tubing, welding joints or other defect that could compromise safety by affecting the efficiency of the system?
Swing Gate
- Is the condition of the gate controller housing ok?
- Inspect general condition of hinges, gate stops, safety edges, photocells, reflectors and enclosure and clean if required - OK?
- Check hinge alignment - OK?
- Check limit actuators against closing / opening positions of gate and adjust as necessary - all OK?
- Scan pivot hinge alignment by taking line of sight. Report any variation or damage - OK?
- Check security of motor fixing bolts and base plate. Report any deterioration of concrete base(s) - OK?
- Check slow down efficiency at each end of travel, checking gate does not slam - OK?
- Check gate hinges for wear. Report if unduly worn - OK?
