- Height of barrier at least 1200mm high ? (Measured to the top of that part of the fence where the gap between verticals is < 100mm).
Gaps
- Are gaps under gate and barrier <100mm
Indentations and projections
- Are all indentations and projections within the barrier less than 10mm?
Horizontals and verticals
- Distance between rails & footholds > 900mm
- Horizontal members correctly spaced
- Gaps between vertical members are no greater than 100mm (deflection included)?
Sloping or stepped ground.
- Is there sloping or stepped ground?
Intersecting fences
- Are there any intersecting fences?
Non Climable Zones (NCZ)
- NCZ complies (external 900mm)?
- Additional clear area complies?
- Upper NCZ complies (900mm)?
- Internal clear areas comply (300mm)?
- NCZ complies 1800mm fences?

Boundary fence
- Inside of the barrier.

Balconies
- Is there a balcony providing access to the pool?
Doors/Windows/Openings
- Does the external wall of the house form part of the pool barrier?
Resuscitation signage

Indoor/Rooftop Pools & Spas
- Is there a compliant barrier with compliant gates and or doors which comply with QDC?
- Does door or gate swing away from pool area?
Waterways
- Is waterway being used as part of pool barrier?
Structure within pool enclosure
- Are all structures within the pool enclosure compliant? (storage building or open patio only)

This report is a regulatory notice identifying pool barrier non-compliances identified at the time of inspection and must not be used in the place of a Form 23 - Pool safety certificate. This notice does not absolve you of your responsibility to ensure that the pool barrier complies with the Building Act 1975, Australian Standard AS1926.1 - 2007 and the Queensland Development Code MP 3.4 at all times. If you require a pool safety certificate you will need to engage a licensed pool safety inspector.
