What does this form include?
This form contains 9 sections:
Add media
Personal Safety
- Have void unit risk assessments been carried out?
- Are there any access problems (roof, staircases etc)?
- Will people visiting the property be exposed to asbestos fibres?
Security
- Are there any breaches of external security measures? i.e. fencing, gates etc
- Is the building secure? (If there has been forced entry note any damage caused).
- Have the police been informed of the contact number for the key holder?
- Is the site free from trespassers?
EXTERNAL
- Has the letter box been sealed to prevent the introduction of combustible materials and accelerants?
- Have all combustible materials been removed? Has there been any fly tipping?
- Has any fly tipping been removed in accordance with waste regulations?
- Is there any obvious deterioration/damage to the external fabric of the building?
- Is there any damage to glazing?
- Have any "sharps" been left on site?
- Is there any evidence of drainage failure?
Fabric/Glazing
- Is there any obvious deterioration/damage to the internal fabric of the building?
- Is there any damage to internal glazing?
- Is there any evidence of water ingress/flooding?
- Is there any obvious roof damage?
- Does the site look clean and tidy?
Water supply
- Are there any leaking taps or pipes?
- If yes – is there a valid need for this i.e. fire alarm/sprinkler to be active.
- Is the water supply isolated?
Electrical services
- Has the electrical supply been turned off?
- Is the power supply necessary for inspection, security or fire protection?
- If there is evidence of water ingress/flooding are there any vulnerable electrical installations/switches and sockets?
Gas services
- Is the gas supply isolated?
- If yes – is there a valid need for this? (e.g. boilers need to be on for frost protection or servicing adjacent buildings.
- Is there any evidence of gas leakage?
- Has there been any vandalism or damage to gas pipes or equipment?
Drainage
- Is there any evidence of internal drainage failure?
