What does this form include?
This form contains 8 sections:
Device: Wireless Access Points, Repeaters, Wireless Radios & Clients.Activities: Ensure pedestals and all pole mounted equipment is intact, secure and undamaged.
- 1. Ensure pole is secure at base and tighten rag bolts as necessary.
- 2. Inspect and ensure locks, where fitted, are secure.
- 3. For hinged poles ensure counterweight is secure and pole operation is smooth and balanced.
- 4. Inspect all pole?mounted equipment and tighten bolts.
- 5. Repair or replace all faulty, damaged or missing fixing accessories (i.e. brackets, washers, nuts and bolts etc.)
- 6.Inspect earth bonding and enclosure finish.
- 7. Inspect and ensure VicRoads stickers are intact and legible.
Devices: Wireless Access Points, Repeaters, Wireless Radios & Clients. Activities: Ensure all wiring and cabling is securely connected and supported.
- 1. Inspect for loose wires on all accessible terminals, and re?terminate and tighten.
- 2. Inspect and ensure all cable supports are secure and in proper working order.
- 3. Inspect and ensure proper operation of radio.
- 4. Inspect and ensure that all communication connections are secure, clean and free of corrosion.
Device: Wireless Access Points, Repeaters, Wireless Radios & Clients. Activities: Check battery and Solar power unit condition.
- 1. Inspect and ensure optimum operation of batteries; (where installed). Inspect and ensure batteries maintain charge sufficient for continuous operation 24 hours, 7 days a week.
- 2. Check battery terminals for corrosion and re-coat with sealing agent if required.
- 3. Inspect and ensure optimum operation of the solar charge control module (where installed). Arrange vegetation trimming to keep solar panel uncovered.
Device: Wireless Access Points, Repeaters, Wireless Radios & Clients. RM Activities: Ensure proper operation of communication facilities.
- 1. Inspect and ensure RX/TX communication.
- 2. Inspect and ensure optimum operation of radio equipment (where installed).
- 3. Inspect and record received signal strength, ensure optimum alignment of antenna (where installed)
