General Checks
- Check main isolation point is present, working and serviceable.
- Check pre start book for any reported defects and report back to maintenance supervisor
Ground Level Checks
- Undercarriage hydraulic components for leaks
- Rotary connection, travel drives and motors
- Rollers and idlers for leaks and damages (note position)
- Start counting rollers position from idlers
- GET condition (tips, lip and wing shrouds)
- Bucket in general (cracks & damage)
- Ladder and service trap condition
- Bucket grease lines condition
- Attachment cylinder leaks (damaged rod chrome)
- Attachment hoses and pipes (mounting & leaks)
- Pins for grease delivery and pin covers/locks
- Undercarriage mounting bolts and cracks and damage
- Swing grease delivery (teeth and bearings)
- Emergency stop cord or switch condition
Engine Bay Checks
- Engine oil level(s)
- Air intake and exhaust piping for leaks
- Heat shields and blankets condition
- Radiators cleanliness + leaks and mounts
- Alternator and A/C belts
- Fluids leaks (oil, coolant and fuel)
- Operation of service lights
- Emergency stop switches (condition)
- Wiring harness in general (alternator, engine...)
Valve Bank Checks
- High pressure filter & control blocks (leaks & mounting)
- Control valves clamping hoses & pipes condition
- Pump supply lines and clamping (condition)
- Emergency stop switches (condition)
- Floors plates & access doors and handles condition
- Swing motors and swing boxes leaks and mounting
- Swing boxes oil level
- Air pressure and air leaks + air pressure in hyd. Tank
- Grease Pumps operation and leaks
- Operation of service lights
Pump Room
- Pumps for leaks and mounting
- Electric harnesses secured properly
- Pilot lines condition and secured (not rubbing)
- Splitterbox oil level
- Emergency stop switches (condition)
- HP hoses condition and secured (not rubbing + leaks)
Fire Detection & Suppression System
- Fire Extinguishing tanks (Pressure and condition)
- Manual actutation switches condition
- Cab fire suppression module reading OK
- Hand held Fire Extinguishers gauges
Hydraulic Oil Cooler
- Hydraulic oil coolers cleanliness and leaks + mounting
- Hydraulic cooler fans + motors (leakage & mounting)
- Final drives Lifetime seals cavity oil level (if fitted)
Top Deck
- Air filter restriction indicators (reset after checking)
- Handrails ad panels
- Exhaust system and covers
Cab
- Prelub and start functions
- Fault codes on screen
- Camera function (if fitted)
- Seat condition and operation
- Joysticks/pedals and horn condition and function
- Attachment pin and bush movement and grease delivery (Supervisor to complete - see diagram on next page)
- Cab door, deal and latch condition
- Windows condition
- Both A/C function
- Review operator pre-start book
