Questions
- Is the floor area around the workstation area safe from possible trip hazards?
Working Postures
- Is head and shoulders inline with torso?
- Are wrists and hands in line with forearm when at the keyboard?
- Are elbows close to body and supported by chair arm rests?
Seating
- Is chair in good condition?
- Is the lower back supported?
- Are the feet flat on the floor? If not, is a foot rest needed, lower chair, or lower workstation?
- Are armrest in good condition and at proper height?
Keyboard
- Is keyboard stable?
- Is any part of the arm resting on sharp or hard work surfaces? Are armrests or pads around keyboard needed?
- Input device ( mouse or trackball located in a position that it can be orated without reaching?
Monitor
- Is top of monitor parallel with eyes?
- User with bifocals/trifocals can Read screen without bending the head or neck backward?
- Is screen large enough for adequate visibility?
Desk and Work Surfaces
- Is the temperature of the workstation maintained to a satisfactory level?
- Are working materials positioned correctly to minimise stretching?
- Is the workstation at a suitable height?
- Is there adequate lighting? No glare that would cause awkward positioning?
Document Holders
- Is document holder in a stable but easy to adjust for height, position, distance, and viewing angle?
